In some cases, the purchase price of the same quantity of product varies from one campaign to another. These differences can be explained by the existing variations between products within the same category, beyond Animal Webaction and independently of our functioning:
- Different compositions: kibbles specially produced for puppies will, for example, have a higher nutritional value than kibbles for adult dogs, and will therefore be more expensive. Similarly, tins of cat food for kidney problems will be more expensive than tins of conventional cat food.
- Disparities between countries / Geographical differences / Geographical characteristics: kibbles produced and delivered in Spain, for example, will not be sold at the same price as other kibbles produced and delivered in Egypt, where they are considered to be luxury products. The same applies to all countries and all product categories, each with its own market of reference.
- Variable packaging: for example, wet food with the same composition will not be available at the same price, depending on whether it is in 100g trays or 800g tins.
- Fluctuating costs: our products are subject to the same hazards and variations as those of any other business. Thus, all the rates related to logistics (production and delivery) have increased significantly due to the pandemic, and our selling prices have also been affected.
It should also be noted that when you buy a product from Animal Webaction, you are not only paying for the product itself, but also for the immaterial help we provide to the beneficiaries (e.g. the visits we carry in shelters, the costs of interpreters, the assistance of the beneficiaries...). This can explain a price difference with other shops that do not offer the same service. For more information on this subject, you can consult our public budget page.
Our selling price is always determined as fairly as possible, taking all these variables into account.
